    I have known Jashi Abhirajan for at least 8 years and know her to be someone you can count on to get things done for the betterment of Morrisville. I serve with Jashi on the Morrisville Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Advisory Committee. Jashi is responsible for spearheading the cultural resources impetus on that committee so that Morrisville can accentuate the diversity that makes it such a beautiful and inclusive town. She is a bulldog in getting things done. She’s thorough in everything she does and always looks for ways that benefit all the citizens of Morrisville. She would make an excellent town council member and I endorse her wholeheartedly. She will make Morrisville a better place for all citizens to live, work, and play.

    I have known Jashi for more than 8 years. I worked with her for the last 5 years with the TAHT Disaster Relief Committee raising funds for the communities affected by natural disasters in NC. In due course, I have developed a great degree of respect for her like the rest of the board. She is a very level-headed person, a pragmatic individual and a good organizer. She can work with all personalities in getting things done. She was able to get notable holidays declared as city holidays that many in the community appreciate. She also helped with the Veterans Memorial in Morrisville. She truly is nonpartisan, and always wants to help others. She despite being a professional working at Duke University full time, dedicated her free time to social causes but also has raised a beautiful family. She is a fair fair-minded leader that any city would want her services rendered as a city council member. We need such young dynamic good-natured people leading the town. I give my support to her.

    Our association with Jashi Abhirajan goes more than 15 years when we were working together closely in Heritage India of North Carolina, organizing many cultural programs. Later, Jashi joined HUMSUB organization and brought great flavor to their annual presentation of Indian heritage through their highly auditioned cultural events. Not contented with these achievements, Jashi proceeded on a mission to spearhead the Disaster Relief Committee providing critical support during times of crisis by working alongside with local religious organizations and regional associations. Jashi and her team have made a meaningful impact both locally and globally with their fundraising activities. In 2024, the DRC under her leadership organized a 5k walkathon and with the support of community members raised funds to assist families affected by Hurricane Helene in rebuilding their lives and restoring essential services.
    We have watched with great interest Jashi as a member of Morrisville Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Advisory Committee has made Morrisville a more beautiful and inclusive town, coveted by many others to move here and live in harmony.
    We have found Jashi very organized in whatever task she is involved and sees to its successful completion; she is a dedicated team player, and it is a joy for anyone to work with her. We wholeheartedly endorse her as a Council Member of the Town of Morrisville; for we are sure she would make Morrisville the best place to live in the country.

She was the person everyone turned to first when they needed help, because they knew they could trust her to show up with grace, fairness, and impeccable follow-through. Her absence from the program has only made clearer the depth of her presence while she was there.
